15-Aug-2019 -- I had a few hours to spare in Calgary, so of course had to visit this point - the "Visitors’ Confluence Point” for Calgary. This point is notable for being located inside a building - a large Distribution Centre. Although there are several Degree Confluence Points located inside buildings in the U.S. and Europe, it’s quite remarkable for such a point to exist in a sparsely-populated country like Canada. (Earlier this year, I managed to visit such a point in the similarly sparsely-populated country of Australia.)
By walking up to one of the doors on the eastern side of the Distribution Centre, I was able to get 12m (+/- GPS error of 2m) from the point. Just to the north, a large Canadian Tire truck was parked at the next door, loading stock.
