#1: The Confluence from50m

(visited by Rainer Mautz)

09-May-2024 -- This is the 1st out of 7 reports visiting confluence points during a one-week bicycle trip from Budapest to Podgorica.

On the evening before Ascension Day I arrived by airplane at the airport of Budapest. For one long our, I was not allowed to leave the exit of the airport as well as everybody else, because Xi Jingping had also arrived and it seemed that he had priority.

The next morning, I started cycling southwards in the flatlands of the Danube river and reached the confluence point easily around 11 AM. The exact location was 46 m inside a field with very young sunflowers. I decided not to step into the field even though it I could have attempted to step between the sprouts without creating too much harm.
