English version

English

04-Apr-2014 -- After a professional trip to Banfora, I return towards Bobo-Dioulasso, making a detour by Orodara to visit the point 11°N 5°W. It is easy to reach. About ten km after Orodara on the road N8 towards Mali, a track perpendicular to the road goes to the North right towards the point. The track quickly becomes too narrow to continue by car and I continue by foot. The track is often in the shade, but the temperature is 43°C and I sweat!

The point is in a large orchard, with mainly cashew nut trees, some orange trees, shea trees and palm oil trees. Since the last visit in 2008, the trees grew well. There are many cashew fruits fallen on the ground and many nice grasshoppers nibble them.

For once, I did not meet anybody, which is very rare in Africa!

Then I go back to Bobo-Dioulasso and I continue towards the point 11°N 4°W.
