04-Feb-2012 -- It is still winter time in Burkina Faso, 35 degrees the afternoon… Fresh enough to visit two Confluences. Souleymane, a driver, joins me.

This morning, we visited the point 13N 2W, and we try now to reach the point 13N 1W. This one was visited only once in 1999. However, it is not very difficult to reach. From Kaya, a track leaves towards the South, along the railroad. Just follow it, after about ten kilometres, leave it and using the GPS, follow some paths which lead to the Confluence. The track is not too difficult, but it is nevertheless better to have a 4x4 to arrive there.

On the point, we meet people who return to their village. In the surroundings, there are some beautiful trees, mainly shea trees, and a very nice tamarind. And on our way back, we visit a dam which is completely dry now. But the local farmers dig wells, and they can produce onions and cabbages in nice gardens.
