06-Aug-2024 -- Dieses war ein „einfach-mal-so-zwischendurch CP-Besuch“, also ohne größere Reise drum herum – gute 600 Kilometer standen am Ende dennoch „auf der Uhr“ unseres Wohnmobiles.

Ich hatte vom „schweizerischen Ableger der Familie“ als Geschenk die Begleitung und Unterstützung bei diesem etwas abgelegenen CP erhalten. Er ist sowohl von der Parksituation, als natürlich auch von der Lage mitten im Luganer See nicht unproblematisch – dass ich zudem kein Italienisch spreche, war auch nicht hilfreich. So war geplant – nach Anreise und Treffen in Lugano – zunächst auf dem Olivenweg ca. 4 km nach Gandria zu wandern und sodann nach kleiner Stärkung mit einem privat organisiertem Wassertaxi zunächst zum CP und sodann zurück nach Lugano zu fahren.

Wir waren natürlich wieder mit dem Wohnmobil und Hund unterwegs und fuhren tags zuvor am frühen Nachmittag bei bestem Wetter vom Bodensee über den Julierpass in Richtung Comer See. Die schnellere – aber deutlich uninteressantere – Variante über den San Bernardino behielten wir uns für den Rückweg vor. Am Silvaplaner sowie Silser See vorbei, sodann die sehenswerten Wasserfälle bei Borgonuovo passiert und schlussendlich bei Dongo am Comer See übernachtet.

Am nächsten Morgen ging's früh weiter nach Lugano. Wir hatten uns im Vorfeld wirklich Sorgen gemacht, wo um alles in der Welt wir unser WoMo dort parken könnten – aber noch am Abend schickte uns der bereits aus Zürich angereiste Teil der Familie die Daten eines in Ufernähe gelegenen Parkplatzes beim Strandbad Lido – einer mit 1 sfr pro Stunde wirklich günstigen Parkiermöglichkeit und ohne zeitliche und/oder sonstige Beschränkung hinsichtlich des Abstellens von Wohnmobilen.

Nach ca. 1 Stunde Fahrt erreichten wir von Dongo kommend den besagten Parkplatz und machten uns sodann gemeinsam zu Fuß auf in Richtung Gandria entlang des Olivenwegs – einem Panoramafußweg (siehe Bilder 6 und 7) entlang der Uferlinie mit zahlreichen Stationen, auf denen ausführlich der wohl wichtigsten Frucht des Mittelmeerraumes (nämlich der Olive) gehuldigt wird.

Wir erreichten Gandria gegen Mittag; dort waren für uns Plätze in einem kleinen, netten Restaurant direkt am Fähranleger reserviert. Die Stärkung im Schatten (und mit Blick auf den gut 600 Meter entfernten CP) war mehr als willkommen. Gegen 14 Uhr wurde es Ernst – erst fuhr das Kursschiff am Anleger ab – dann legte „unser“ Wassertaxi dort an und nahm uns für unsere „Privatvorstellung“ an Bord.

Ziemlich zackig ging es dann die ca. 600 Meter zum CP, wobei ich dem capitano immer mein GPS unter die Nase hielt, damit er „sich nicht verfährt“; er bzw. sein Wassertaxi brauchte diesen „neumodischen Schnick-Schnack“ allem Anschein nach nicht. In CP-Nähe angekommen, trieben wir zunächst noch über selbigen; dann nochmals 10 Meter zurück gesetzt, wo ich dann den CP auch ziemlich genau lokalisieren konnte. Besser ging aufgrund des Windes und auch der Tatsache, dass wir „nur Passagiere“ und nicht Steuermänner/-frauen waren, nicht. Dennoch war das Ergebnis mehr als befriedigend – noch schnell die Umgebungsbilder gemacht und zackig ging's für uns weiter nach Lugano. Zurück zum Parkplatz am Lido, von der Familie verabschiedet und via San Bernardino zurück zum Bodensee gefahren. Ein toller Tag und ein CP-Besuch der in Erinnerung bleibt. Vielen Dank an die Familie für das unvergessliche, gemeinsame Erlebnis und die tolle Organisation.

06-Aug-2024 -- This was a „CP-only-trip“, means no big tour around the CP visit – nevertheless at the end, a voyage of more than 600 km. Relatives living in Switzerland gave me a birthday present in form of organisation, support and of course accompaniment to get to this CP. Since parking situation and the CP-location offshore in the lake of Lugano „causes problems“ the support was more than welcome – in surplus „no italiano“ from my side, made the situation not easier. So the plan was to walk from Lugano along the „way of olives“ to Gandria and – after a little gastronomical refreshment – take a private water-taxi to the CP and then drive back to Lugano.

So the 5th of august we travelled with our campingcar and dog towards Lugano, passing the Julierpass, then Silvanersee and Silsersee and the remarkable waterfalls at Burgonuovo until we stayed overnight at Dongo at the lake of Como. Next days morning we started towards Lugano. Beforehand we were worried, where to park our campingcar in Lugano – but „family saved us“, by sending us the coordinates of a central parking place in Lugano near the Lido. With 1 sfr / hour really cheap and no restritions concerning campingcars or parking duration.

So we started our walk along the „way of olives“, a 4 km track with fine views over the lake of Lugano (see pic. 6 and 7) and lots of stations honoring the most important mediterranian fruit (=olives). We arrived in Gandria about noon, where seats in a nice restaurant just beside the landing stage waited for us. Some drinks, culinary recreation and spending a nice time with view to the distant CP – at 14 o'clock our water taxi picked us up at the landing stage and our „private performance“ started.

At high speed our capitano manoeuverd his boat towards the CP – since he obviously had/needed no GPS device I had to show the way to our aim. A perfect break manoeuver, a short power burst backwards and I could locate the CP in more than sufficient and satisfying accuracy. I took the neccessary pictures and we rushed towards Lugano. Then back to the parking place, saying bye-bye to the family and we drove back home to the lake of Constance, this time by using the „fast version“ via San Bernardino pass. A superb day – thanks a lot to the family for organisation and the accompaniment – a visit and good time we all will keep in mind.
