01-Mar-2008 -- After having completed a find on N54 W59 last weekend, we decided to attempt this confluence this weekend. I had talked to Jonathan Pilgrim (who was here on this site a few weeks back) and he indicated that there was a good trail along the Kenamu River used by local trappers, so that gave us some confidence to try this run. We left Goose Bay at 8:15 AM, and headed out.
The ambient air temperature was about -25 C, but was supposed to rise to -13C as the day wore on. The windchill factor was significant as we rode along the future road to Cartwright this morning. We arrived on the confluence site within a few minutes of noon, after climbing uphill about 220 m from the river where we left our snowmobiles.
Once on site we all took pics of our GPSrs with the confluence point showing on our screens. All three of us were standing within arm's reach of each other, so the coords are pretty exact. The altitude here is about 520ft(170m).
