30-Jun-2006 -- This was an easy confluence to visit. Taking exit 62 off I-80 - towards the "Military Area" - my GPS receiver's navigation software directed me first onto a paved road, and then a series of smooth, wide dirt roads that end up just 0.56 miles southwest of the confluence point. (Another narrow dirt road at this point takes you just 0.36 miles away.) From here, there is an easy hike to the confluence point (although it involves traversing a small ridge). As another visitor noted, if you were to park directly south of the confluence point, you would have an even easier (although slightly longer) hike, with no hills at all.
The confluence point is marked by a rocky cairn left by previous visitors. Warning: Do not rest your hand on the ground near the confluence point. The grass here contains lots of tiny, sharp thorns. (I found this out the hard way.)
