12-Feb-2007 -- We had had a storm the previous day and when we saw the ominous cloud coming our way, my wife suggested we pack up and go. We must have done that in record time because we were on the road fifteen minutes later.
The weather was not improving so we just kept driving, passing our next scheduled camp site. Beaudesert where our next confluence is was not too far away but it was getting late and because of the cloudy conditions the light was poor. We finally got there (Beaudesert) and drove around here and there and finally found a road that headed towards the town of Kerry that took us mighty close to the spot. :
I stopped the car across from a vacant block of land, jumped the fence (If my confluence hunting career comes to a stop I can always try hurdles, I'm getting good at it) and found the place just before it got too dark. What an easy one to do. We left for our final destination, the Sunshine Coast. What a day it has been and what a trip: 14 successjul confluences out of 14 attempts :
