#1: The view north from the confluence

13-Dec-2003 -- - This confluence, which is located just on the outskirts of Beaudesert is a fairly easy one to acquire.

Arriving in Beaudesert, we took the south road (following the GPS) just past the local golf club, where we lined up our south coordinate.

We worked out we were about 200m from the confluence, and that it was located behind a row of houses in an open field. Scaling the roadside fence into a spare block, we walked the fenceline until we reached another fence at the back of the paddock. Getting over that, we simply walked another 30m or so and ended up at the confluence point.

Once back in the car, while we were heading back into town (about 1/3 km down the road) we noticed a gate on the left-hand side of the road which might be a direct route to the confluence, and a better option than our path to the confluence.
