19-Apr-2007 -- Stopped on the way from San Jose to Asilomar to make yet another visit to this, the confluence with the highest number of individual visit records in the Confluence database.
Just like I did last year, I drove up to the golf course, and parked opposite the club house, then started walking on the golf cart path along the fairway of hole #10. As the fairway bends to the left around a valley going down towards the confluence point, I crossed over and located the nice path.
Just 15-20 m after entering the woods, a small path breaks down to the right, and this can be followed down to within a few meter of the confluence itself.
While at the point, my GPS tracked nicely all the time, including the WAAS signals, giving an EPE value of just 4 m, but it was too hard to make it stop on the all zero spot, so my best GPS photo was taken about 3 m away.
After getting the required photos I returned to my rental car and drove down around Half Moon Bay to Monterey and Pacific Grove for a computer conference.
