20-Oct-2002 -- 20 Oct 2002. I wanted to visit one of the most visited confluence points in the United States. I enjoyed a pleasant drive from San Francisco to Santa Cruz. All I had for directions was my GPS. I got close but could see that the point was on the other side of a hill. I remembered reading something about a golf course in other visitors’ reports.
As I tried to reach the other side of the hill, I saw signs directing me to a golf course! This is it! I parked at the club house. I crossed to the far side of the nearest fairway and found a trail leading downhill into a wooded wilderness-type area. I soon found the spot. The trees were tall and thick and interfered with satellite reception.
I waited until all the zeroes came up and snapped a photo.
It was a great day!
