The confluence point 59N12E is located about four kilometers north of Håbol, a tiny agricultural town with only 60 inhabitants. South-west of Håbol you will find the town of Ed of about 3000 inhabitants. The area surrounding these towns consists of mainly forest and lakes, thus attracting visitors interested in nature and outdoor activities like canoeing.

The confluence point is easily reached by car, following a gravel road that passes several farm houses. In the near vicinity of the confluence point, you can park your car alongside the road. A short uphill walk (about 15 minutes) through the forest, leads to an open space (see pictures). The confluence point itself is located on the edge of this space.

On the day we visited the confluence, the weather was really nice. We stayed about an hour at the location, enjoying the sun and a light lunch. Although the location is not blessed with a nice view, the tranquility of the forest was a blessing in itself.

After the visit, we continued our road travel on the main road heading north. After about 15 kilometers, the road ends on the shores of the Stora Le lake. There is a ferry crossing this lake (free of charge) that carries about 15 cars. Check the notice board for ferry times and pay attention to whether you need to call the ferryman in order to confirm the crossing.
