18-May-2009 -- We were taking our car to Ed in Sweden, about 60 km southeast of the Norwegian town. (It's almost half price servicing your car in Sweden!). As we left for the trip from Oslo I grabbed the GPS in case we would be near any confluence points during the day. In Ed we switched on the GPS and found that N59E12 was only about 13 km away. The car navigation unit then took us through some forest gravel roads to a point 245 m from the cp.
The handheld GPS lead us up a slight hill through a dense and rather wet young spruce forest before we went downhill again to the cp. The required photos taken we took a slightly longer way back to the car. It was an old tractor track, but dry and fairly flat. The forest was full of elk droppings, you could also see were the animals had bitten off the shoots and tops of young pines. We also found something which looked a bit like the remains of digested(?) beetles....
