29-Jun-2008 -- Although located in a rather remote region of northern California, this confluence point is easy to reach, because a series of (gravel and dirt) roads takes you just 250 feet away.
From narrow, winding CA Highway 175 - between Lakeport and Hopland - I turned north on an unsigned gravel road at [38.98918,-122.98382]. Then, left on another gravel road at [39.00154,-122.99869]. Then, left on a dirt road at [39.00069.-123.00095]. Then, right at a turnoff onto a ridge at [39.00065,-123.00002]. This is 250 feet north of the confluence point. From there, it is an easy scramble through thin chaparral to get to the confluence point, which is located on an east-facing slope.
