02-Aug-2008 -- This is a confluence point that I had been looking forward to visiting, as it is located on an island (albeit one that's connected to the mainland by a short bridge), and is located in a scenic area. It didn't disappoint. A narrow country road (paved, then dirt/rock) led to within 100 meters of the confluence point, which is located on a boggy east-facing slope, with views of the ocean.
As I was driving, then walking, along the country road towards the confluence point, I had to pass a flock of sheep, then a pair of donkeys in a neighbouring yard. Not far from the confluence point, peat cutting had been taking place; freshly-cut peat bricks lay in piles, presumably awaiting collection.
