24-Oct-2008 -- Continued from 38S-144E.
Travelling along the Hamilton Highway, we passed through a number of small towns, before passing the last town of Darlington, where we knew that we would have to turn off after passing through the town, a few kilometres west and the second road to our right. Arriving at the junction and clearly sign posted Woorndoo, we turned off and it was not long before we were at our closest point to the confluence. At this point it was just over 440 metes to reach the confluence. Even though the area was still very green, the field that we had to pass through had been planted with oats and was struggling, with the size of the oats just over 30 centimetres tall, a far cry from the height that they should have been for this time of the year.
Arriving at the exact location of the confluence, it was the usual set of required photos to complete a successful visit. At this point, I would like to point out that my pictures vary from the other visit. The only thing that I can say is that when I arrive at a confluence, I always take the required photos from the exact location and not to take in other features that do not fall within the North, South, East and West view’s, with the only exception in the general view of the confluence area.
So far so good with two successful confluence visits in under an hour and a half. It was back to the car and further west for our next confluence for the day.
