14-Jan-2001 -- The confluence is located north of a major rural town, Port Pirie, and near a small coastal town call Port Germein.

We parked just off the main highway from Port Pirie and walked the 300 meters to the confluence. It was located in natural scrub mainly salt bush and mallee trees. Even though the distance to walk was short the temperature reach 44 degrees C, and just standing at the confluence in the Sun hurt.

On reaching the confluence we noticed a railway line to the west only 100 meters away with a road on the otherside. As we were walking back to the car a train came by but we could not photograph it because it was obscured by the bush.
