27-May-2011 -- This is an easy confluence point to visit, if you happen to be in this remote region of south-eastern Oregon. It's just 0.4 miles west of US Highway 395, but a series of dirt roads - both formal and informal - take you almost to the point itself, which lies amid sagebrush, growing on a dry lake bed. A rock cairn left by previous visitors marks the point.
This confluence point reminded me a lot of 37N 115W in Nevada, which I visited last year. Both points are in remote desert regions, amid sagebrush on dry lake beds, and are just west of long, straight US highways that run north-south through the desert, with trails (made by off-road vehicles) nearby.
