05-Nov-2011 -- COMPLETANDO LA DOCENA

Esta confluencia fue la duodécima del viaje denominado LATITUD 50, encarado en conjunto con el mismo grupo de amigos que habíamos hecho en 2009, LATITUD 48.

Ya en los estertores del viaje, después de la previa 47°S 69°O desayunamos y salimos con rumbo a casa por la RN03, la cual pasa cerca de dos confluencias, que si bien fueron visitadas no dejaban de ser una tentación, así que no quedó otro remedio que desviarnos un poco, para equiparar la docena de LATITUD 48.

La primera, la 45°S 67°O, se encuentra 4 km al este de la ruta y un camino a una cantera parece acercársele. Nos metimos pero no logramos hacerlo a menos de 1.5 km, alambrados de por medio y con espesa vegetación. El tiempo que nos demandaría acceder nos hizo desistir.

Retomamos la ruta con la idea de hacer otra, la 44°S 66°O. Al llegar a sus cercanías, al no tenerla estudiada, no encontrábamos por donde se entraba pese a que recordaba que era fácil.

Al final había que pasarse un poco y volver para atrás, entrando por una tranquera, sin candados que conducía a menos de 100 metros de la confluencia.

No nos costó demasiado lograrla y de ese modo obtuvimos la presea número doce del viaje, el mismo número que en el anterior viaje del 2009.

Sin novedades seguimos hacia el norte y la nochecita nos sorprendió en San Antonio Oeste, donde nos alojamos en el motel que está sobre ruta.

Se había terminado otra “Megacacería Patagónica”.

05-Nov-2011 - COMPLETING THE DOZEN

This confluence was the twelfth one of the trip LATITUDE 50, undertaken by the same team of friends that had conquered LATITUDE 48 in year 2009.

On the rasping breath of the trip, after the previous 47°S 69°W, we had breakfast and we departed by RN03 to our home. RN03 passes nearby two already visited confluences, so we had the opportunity to reach them again, as in LATITUDE 48, the dozen of successful visits.

First of them, 45°S 67°W, laid at 4 km of the east of the route. A non paved road to a quarry approached us to it but at 1.5 km it was necessary to cross a fence and to pass through a dense bushed. It was only for walking and then we declined it.

We continued by RN03 with the idea of doing another one, the 44°S 66°W. When we arrived nearby of it, due to the lack of previous studies, we didn’t find the access, although we remembered that it was easy.

Finally we had to go ahead a little by the route and then return across a gate without padlock, along a path that approached up to 100 meters of the confluence.

Really, it was easy to reach and we conquered the confluence number twelve, exactly as in 2009.

Without news, we continued to the north and we stooped at night at San Antonio Oeste, where we slept in the hotel aside the route.

Another “Patagonic Megahunting” was finished.
