31-Mar-2012 -- My wife and I spent one week in Spain doing the most important museums, galleries, churches and palaces in Madrid and Bilbao. And a visit to the National Ballet.

As done before we try to visit confluence points which are not too far off from our itinerary. Heading northwards this confluence point was the first convenient one. We had a GPS (MIO) in the car, but the instrument did not know about the new motorways and tended to send us along village roads which gave us a closer look of the country.

A couple of hundred meters from the cp we turned in to a lane to a small household and met the barking dog mentioned by the first visitors (probably the son, come to think of it). After a little chat with the animal which was tied up with a short chain of a meter or so, we all calmed down and we could approach the main house to ask for permission to advance to the confluence point. Nobody was at home and we took the liberty of going around the house and up to a fence overlooking the field with the cp. The fence was mainly a screen of textiles and barbed wire and not easily climbable. Fortunately it was about 97 meters from the cp, so we settled for that registration.

In the field next to the confluence point about 15 storks came in for landing. Nice view. On the way back to the car the dog woke up and remembered his duties, but with a little persuasion he calmed down and we departed as friends.
