This may have been my most expensive confluence visit so far. I had originally planned to visit this point two days earlier, by driving from Copenhagen to Ystad, Sweden, and then taking a passenger ferry to Bornholm. However, I ended up arriving in Ystad too late to catch a ferry at a good time, so I gave up on this attempt then. Instead, I decided - two days later - to fly from Copenhagen to Bornholm, and then rent a car.

Denmark is beautiful, but expensive. The flight from Copenhagen to Bornholm (just 25 minutes flying time each way!) cost me around $US 280, and the 1-day rental car cost me $US 100. But with only 1 day left in Denmark, if I were to achieve my goal of visiting all of Denmark's land confluence points, then I had to do this. But fortunately there is a lot more to Bornholm than just the Degree Confluence Point. It is a scenic island, and worth a visit in its own right.

After having lunch in the pleasant town of Rønne (the island's main town), I drove eastward along the island's south coast. I was fortunate to experience perfect summer weather - a cloudless sky, with temperatures in the mid 20s °C. I soon reached the confluence point, which is located just off the road, near a beach. This confluence point is actually considered a tourist attraction, with signs pointing towards it. The point itself is marked by a cross in a concrete slab, set in the path. A sign nearby notes the significance of the point.

Near the confluence point there's a cafe - "Cafe Slusegaard" - with WiFi, that I used to upload this report! Unfortunately - because the cafe is 140 meters away from the point, this just misses out on being one of the rare confluence points with WiFi Internet access!
