25-May-2013 -- Despues de lograr con éxito el 37N 5W, nuestra aventura sigue con la caza del PC N37 W4, ubicado en Granada, específicamente en Alhama de Granada. En nuestro itinerario turístico estaba la visita a la Alhambra de Granada, salimos en la mañana temprano el dia 25 de mayo de 2013, ya que debíamos estar a la hora señalada para hacer el recorrido por este monumento testigo de la cultura morusca.

Visitamos la ciudad, almorzamos y partimos de regreso a casa en Málaga, en la autovía A92, le comento a mi prima Anna Kristina que el PC estaba apenas a 30 kms, sin pensarlo dos veces y dado el entusiasmo que nos quedo del día anterior, tomamos la salida 211 para conducir por la carretera A402 que conduce al pueblo Alhama de Granada, un hermoso pueblo, de casas blancas y techos rojos, abundan en sus campos siembras de almendras y olivos.

Recorrimos la entrada principal del pueblo y guiándonos por el GPS tomamos una carretera que conduce a los campos de olivos y a pocos kilómetros dejamos el carro al borde de la carretera y comenzamos la empinada caminata atravesamos un campo de almendros, hasta llegar al campo de olivas donde muy cerca de una de estas plantas logramos el PC, en una colina desde donde se divisaba un hermosa vista del pueblo de Alhama de Granada, eran las 4:56 pm el PC esta a una altura de 1011 msnm.

Luego regresamos al pueblo a celebrar con un delicioso café y dulces típicos de la zona. La actividad económica del lugar se basa en la agricultura y en la fabricación de aceite de oliva, así como la ganadería lanar y aprina. Aunque no pudimos visitarlos, en este pueblo se encuentran unos baños termales árabes construidos sobre las ruinas de los baños romanos, y de donde deriva su nombre al-Hama que significa baño. Igualmente cuenta con unos imponentes tajos y barrancos.

25-May-2013 -- After successfully achieving the 37N 5W, our adventure continues PC hunting 37N 4W, located in Granada, specifically in Alhama de Granada. On our tour itinerary was a visit to the Alhambra in Granada, we left early in the morning the day 25 May 2013, and that we should be at the appointed hour for the tour of this monument witnessed the morusca culture.

We visited the city, lunch and set off back home in Malaga on the A92 motorway, commented to my cousin Anna Kristina that the CP was barely 30 km, without thinking twice and given the enthusiasm that we had the previous day, take exit 211 for driving on the A402 road leading to the village Alhama de Granada, a beautiful village, with white houses and red roofs, abound in their planting fields, almond and olive trees.

We toured the main entrance of the village and guided by the GPS took a road leading to the olive groves and after a few kilometres we left the car at the roadside and began the steep hike through an almond grove, until very close to one of these plants we found the CP, on a hill from where a beautiful view of the town of Alhama de Granada was visible, the time was 4:56 pm, the PC is at an altitude of 1011 meters.

Then back to town to celebrate with delicious coffee and sweets in the area. The economic activity of the place is based on agriculture and manufacturing olive oil, as well as sheep and goats. Although we could not visit them in this village are some Arab thermal baths built on the ruins of Roman baths, and from which it derives its name al-Hama which means bathroom.

The next stop of this trip is Denmark and adventure of hunting confluences continues on 56N 10E.
