16-Jul-2016 -- While travelling the nearby Googs Track, I noticed the Confluence was only 5.12 km away from the track, so decided to drive out. It was a bit over two hours until sunset, so I threaded my way out westwards between the low thick scrub in the least thick sections between two dunes.
Once out within a km I had to turn North and battle my way over 4 dunes until I reached the confluence. The sun had set as I took my pics and with no chance of driving back up the steeper faces of the dunes, I had to tackle the much thicker scrub to stay in the same interdunal valley on the way back to the track, with total darkness making it a much harder trip back to the track arriving more than 4 ½ hours later.
