24-Aug-2016 -- What a difference three months makes! I first visited this point in April 2009. At that time, the whole area was covered in snow, and the hike to/from the point - although just only about 1 mile total - was quite strenuous. At the time, I noted that it would be fun to revisit this point in Summer, without the snow.
Today, I got my wish. In August, the area looks much different. All of the snow is gone, the Aspen trees are covered with leaves, and the Scotland Trail is now completely visible and walkable. To my surprise, the trail took me all the way to the point.
