18-Sep-2016 -- It looks like I'm the first person to make it as fall colors are changing. The aspens are golden along the way, and haven't quite peaked yet.
From the Scotland Trail parking lot, hike up the Scotland Trail to a knoll at 39.00772°N 107.99711°W. To your south, heading into the pine trees, is a small trail you should follow.
Follow the trail, passing the two creeks at roughly 39.00611°N 107.99738°W, then uphill to a fork in the trail at 39.00393°N 107.99848°W, just past the edge of the meadow. Take the fork going left.
Follow this left fork to a gate at 39.00016°N 107.99901°W. Proceed through the gate, then turn to your right (west) and you'll see a path up the hill. Follow that path a little over 200 feet to the site.
Remember to check your pictures before leaving, or -- like me -- you'll have to come back to the spot and take pictures again when you realize your camera settings were off.
