07-Sep-2017 -- This is the 7^th out of 9 reports reaching confluence points during a one-week cycling trip around Ireland. The story starts at 54°N 7°W and continues from 52°N 9°W.

Together with my friends Marcus and Olga we started from Union Hall by car at 10:30 AM after spending a lazy morning and an extended breakfast at their holiday home. Marcus and Olga planned on visiting the town Youghal – where the confluence was nicely on their route. So they dropped me off at this confluence point. I assembled my bicycle and then we visited the confluence.

The distance from a minor road is 65 m. Any further approach requires permission of the owners of a residential house. We didn’t actually plan to disturb the owners of the plot. But when the owners came to the gate, I explained the Project and got permission to locate the exact spot.

Unfortunately I was at the wrong home. The confluence was 14 m into the neighbour’s property. I thought that 14 m is good enough and documented the confluence from there – with the result that my pictures show a totally different scene compared to previous visits. I then had a very interesting chat about geography and the internet of things where the owner is involved in.

Again alone on the road I cycled northwards and spent the night in the town Thurles, which is almost 100 km due north of this confluence.
