22-Nov-2017 -- I made a 4-days trip in Lorraine where I was born (long time ago!). I wouldn’t miss this occasion to visit the 2 closest CPs of my route.
This one is located on the hilltop overlooking the little town of Pagny-sur-Moselle. I parked my car at the end of the Garibaldi street and then hiked uphill on a forest road. It was early in the morning and the bright winter sun offered me some very cool views over the Moselle valley during the hike.
The CP was easy to find after a 1700 m hike; it is located in the ditch on the west side of the forest road as already reported by previous visitors.
Pagny-sur-Moselle is a very old village. It was first mentioned as Paterniacum in 932. It became French in 1766 when the Duke of Lorraine died and his territory was transferred to the French king Louis XV.
