31-Jul-2022 -- After driving through the town of Hyde Park (former home of Franklin D. Roosevelt) in the Hudson River Valley, I made a quick detour to visit this point, enroute to the New York state capitol of Albany. This point is very easy to reach, as it’s just 200 feet from a paved road - in an overgrown field. Furthermore, on this dry Summer’s day, the field was completely dry - just overgrown and feral.
This is an especially popular Degree Confluence Point, as it’s so easy to visit, and quite close to several popular tourist destinations.
Just to the East of the point, visible by drone, is Esopus Creek - a tributary of the Hudson River.
Here is a remote-controlled aerial video of this confluence point.
