Unsere Reise geht vom Westen Nordamerikas zum Osten. Nach einem Besuch von 62°N 150°W in Alaska und einer Rundfahrt im Westen Kanadas sind jetzt, im Osten des Landes, die Bedingungen mit einem Mietauto wieder günstig für den Besuch weiterer Confluenzpunkte.

Wir fahren von Halifax nach Truro um dort am letzten Ende der Bay of Fundy eine „Gezeitenwelle“ zu erleben. Das scheitert, eine Baustelle auf der Autobahn bremste uns aus. Wir verlassen die Autobahn bei der ersten Gelegenheit und werden dann immer wieder durch extreme Straßenschäden, verursacht durch Extremregen in der letzten Zeit, an einer direkten Fahrt nach Brooklyn gehindert.

Wir erreichen auf der Straße 215, von Norden kommend, den Abzweig in die Wohnsiedlung. Halten am Wegrand und klingeln am nächstgelegenen kleinen Haus.

Die nette Hausbesitzerin ist nicht informiert über ihre glückliche Wohnlage und erlaubt uns über das Grundstück zu gehen.

An dessen Ende ist ein aktuell sehr wasserreicher Bachlauf der nicht zu überwinden ist. Auch zeigt sich, dass das nächste östlich gelegene Grundstück, bei trockenen Bedingungen, etwas geeigneter ist. Zurück bei der Hausbesitzerin, will die mehr über das Confluenzprojekt erfahren. Wir zeigen ihr den Eintrag des ersten Besuches. Da lebte sie noch nicht dort. Einen Hinweis zu einem Weg von der anderen Seite des Baches kannte sie auch nicht.

Wir versuchen es, laufen die Straße bis zum aktuellen Ende der Bebauung. Dann am Feldrand bis zum Bachlauf, der hier oben aktuell relativ einfach zu überqueren geht. Auf der anderen Bachseite gehen wir wieder gen West, bis es uns gelingt die Nullen zu fixieren. Die sind wieder gut von Mücken bewacht. Am nächsten Tag fahren wir zu den sehenswerten Felsen in der Bay of Fundy, die zweimal am Tag bei Ebbe freigelegt werden.

03-Aug-2023 -- Our journey goes from the west of North America to the east. After a visit of 62°N 150°W in Alaska and a round trip in the west of Canada, now, in the east of the country, the conditions with a rental car are again convenient for the visit of further confluence points.

We drive from Halifax to Truro to experience a "tidal wave" at the last end of the Bay of Fundy. This fails, a construction site on the highway slows us down. We leave the highway at the first opportunity and are then repeatedly prevented from driving directly to Brooklyn by extreme road damage, caused by extreme rain in recent times.

We reach the turnoff to the housing development on Road 215, coming from the north. We stop at the side of the road and ring the bell at the nearest small house.

The nice house owner is not informed about her happy residential situation and allows us to walk across the property.

At its end is a currently very water-abundant creek which is not to be crossed. It also turns out that the next property to the east, in dry conditions, is somewhat more suitable.

Back at the homeowner's house, she wants to know more about the confluence project. We show her the entry of the first visit. She did not live there then. She didn't know about a path from the other side of the creek either.

We try it, walk the road to the current end of the development. Then at the field edge up to the course of the creek, which is here current relatively simply to cross. On the other side of the brook we walk again to the west, until we succeed in fixing the zeros. They are again well guarded by mosquitoes

The next day we drive to the worth seeing rocks in the Bay of Fundy, which are uncovered twice a day at low tide.
