15-Apr-2024 -- Approaching Albuquerque from the East along Interstate 40, I made a short detour near the town of Moriarty to revisit this Degree Confluence Point (I had previously visited during my round-the-USA tour in April 2011). As before, I parked on the paved road just 0.2 miles to the South, crossed the barbed-wire fence, and hiked to the point, which lies in a grassy field, at the base of a scraggly, dead-looking tree. (Although the tree looks dead, it must actually be alive - and very hardy - because it’s been around for decades.)
I was hoping to fly my drone to get an aerial view, but insanely-strong wind made this impossible.
