27-Oct-2004 -- While in Albuquerque on a business trip I made a short side trip to 35n-106w. I hopped onto Interstate 40, turned south onto NM-41 then east on Martinez road until I was at 106W. I parked just off the road and passed through an unmarked barbed wire fence. It was an easy hike to the confluence descending down a small grade and into an area with a few trees.

I found the confluence to be located on the northeast periphery of a tree. It appeared that there had not been cows within this parcel for awhile -- I did not see any cowpies on my way here and did not see the confluence cowpie described by Michael Grady over four years ago.

Picture #1 looks north towards Interstate 40. Picture #2 looks out to the east. Picture #3 looks south. The Moriarty Airport is over the rise and beyond the windmill in the distance. Picture #4 is a late afternoon look to the west. Picture #5 shows my eMap with a perfect confluence reading.

Total time for this excursion off of Interstate 40 was less than 25 minutes. Back to my hotel for dinner and then outside to watch the total Lunar eclipse.
