24-Feb-2001 -- Because it was very close to the Autobahn which I took on my trip south, I decided to visit N50 E10. From the DCP-pages, I knew that there is a monument near but not quite on the spot.

I took the opportunity to get an exact fix of the monument (with an error estimated by my GPS12 of about 5m): It's located at N49.99804 E10.00075, this is about 220 meters to the south of the actual confluence. I checked if the monument coordinates would be "correct" in any other datum, but they're not, so I assume it was just placed conveniently on the small dirt road.

From the first visit narrative, it sounds like the visitors assumed the confluence to be on the other side of a big road to the south, but this was before SA was turned off. I found it to be in a muddy field behind the monument, but out of view because of a small hillock.
