14-Apr-2001 -- This confluence lies just outside of Lake Mead Recreation Area. The confluence is approximately 3 miles east of Meadview, AZ. Camped by an abandoned windmill in Grapevine Wash and hiked approximately 2.5 miles to the confluence. Easy hike by following burro trails and arroyos. The desert was in such bloom as to make it seem almost tropical. Temperature in the low 80's made it just warm enough to sweat. The confluence itself is on the side of a ridge just above a large arroyo. For the west picture I climbed to to the top of the ridge. Confluence lies in Mohave type desert with Joshua tree being the dominant plant type. Very unique spot. A special thanks to all of the good people of the Crowe's Nest Restaurant and Lounge in Meadview who kept me fed and watered.
