18-May-2001 -- The N52E23 confluence is located about 2500 meters east
of railroad station Sokule and about 9 kilometers from
the center of Biala Podlaska.
I started from Warsaw - the capital city of Poland and by
local railways I arrived to Siedlce and next to Sokule (see photo 6).
For next 30 minutes I followed a path between railroad and forest.
Then I directed my steps to South-East towards a forrest border.
In next half hour I walked through a meadow full of a
nettles and bushes. With every step my boots get
wetter and wetter. About 20 meters from confluence I suddenly met
a young doe (see photo 4). I took a few photos and walked forward.
After 5 meters there was a stream (photo 5) and another one, after which the confluence was located (photos 1 and 3). This area is full of mosquitos and certainly isn't good for a picnic. Having marked a waypoint
I walked to Sokule flowers (see photo 7) and next
to Janowka village where I spent the rest of this weekend.
