14-Sep-2001 -- I found this CP on the fenceline next to the road. It's a good thing they're not all this easy. It was nice to see the spot covered with growing crops after seeing the first visitors' photos of snow-covered ground.

I drove many miles on US Highway 30 today. I was intrigued by the reference to Hiawatha Pioneer Trail that I saw on one of the highway signs.

It was a great day.
