01-Apr-2002 -- On april first I and my friend Leif Johansson visited the confluence which according to one map (scale 1:100 000) should lie in the middle of a lake and on a another map (scale 1:50 000) was placed on land.

It was still ice on the lake so it was easy to reach the place, whereupon we could establish that the right place for the confluence 61N17E is on land.

Aug. 2002: Since we didn't get sufficient photos during the first visit, I made a new trip this summer, this time I used a kayak to get to the point.
