15-Sep-2002 -- It's been a while since my last visit to a confluence. So I decided to visit another one on this lazy sunday morning.

The confluence is located in a lightly populated, rural area near the village of Windischletten. There's a small road leading to within 200 meters of the spot. At least, that's what I expected looking at the GPS maps I had. Getting close, I found another small road that's not on the map, but leads even closer to the confluence to within 20 meters.

The area is somewhat hilly and the confluence point is located right on the southern edge of a small plantation of cherry, pear and maple trees almost at the low between two hills. The first picture was taken from a distance of about 50 meters, a little further up the slope of that hill, looking north.

The other pictures show a wholly unremarkable landscape mostly consisting of recently harvested fields. But it is part of an area called "Fränkische Schweiz", a landscape with lots of very steep canyons. They are not very deep though, no more than maybe 200 meters. Neither do they have great extensions. The ones I saw weren't much longer than a kilometer, if that.

No canyon can be seen on one of the photos, so I feel the pictures slightly misrepresent the impression I got travelling the area.
