21-Aug-2004 -- This visit was the second of two on the same day. That morning my wife and I had visited 24°S 114°E, then continued south along the North West Coastal Highway. About 18km south of Carnarvon, we turned east off the highway towards Callagiddy Station. About 23km east of the highway, we passed a north-south fenceline very close to 114°E, but continued on to the homestead to request permission for the confluence visit. We talked to the caretaker of Callagiddy, and discovered that the confluence was actually on Brickhouse Station, the next property north. The caretaker was sure the owners wouldn't mind if we visited the confluence, and I promised to mail the permission form to Brickhouse when I returned to Perth.
We then drove back to the fenceline and followed a track north beside the fence for 3.5km to a point only 280m from the confluence. The short walk in was over red brown soil with small trees and some clay pan areas.
