27-Jul-2005 -- Ah, the Central Valley, salad bowl to the world.
This is an easy confluence to visit, about halfway down a driveway at the edge of an orchard. And on a Wednesday morning, no one is around; I guess the farmers are off with the doctors playing golf. I left my motorcycle at the road with Jack the Gnome to guard it. He was within 100 meters of the confluence, so I guess it counts as a visit for him too. I walked up the driveway looking for someone to ask for permission to take pictures, but I didn’t see anyone around, so I just took my pictures and left.
Picture 1 is the view down the driveway; the confluence is about halfway down, and on the right shoulder. Picture 2 is a shot of the GPS at the confluence.
Picture 3 is a collage of pictures made into a panorama. The picture starts looking up the driveway toward the road, which is just to the east of North. The picture moves clockwise next toward the Fresno River to the East, then down the driveway to the South, then around to the orchard on the West side of the driveway, and finally back to North.
