19-Feb-2008 -- Driving south on Summerland Way, from the town of Casino, I passed just 819 metres east of the confluence point. It would have been an easy hike to the confluence point from the road. Unfortunately, though, there are a couple of farm houses nearby, and I didn't want to disturb the people there, especially during working hours.
Looking on Google Earth afterwards, though, I discovered that - by taking a couple of country roads just to the south, it should be possible to visit the confluence point from the south-west, without crossing farmland. Perhaps I'll try this next time.
