28-May-2008 -- Again a confluence situated in an agricultural field. Lucky for me the weather was dry and so was the soil. I parked the car in the entrance of the field, only 120 m to go to the East. Following machine tracks I was able to enter the field without damaging the crop and to get as close as 1m indicated (with 4m EPE) to the DCP. This time the crop is wheat, about 80 cm high.

The North, East, South and West photographs show a very flat agricultural area, with a great number of windmills and minor buildings. The flat country, very close to the North Sea is an ideal location for this kind of windmills. A number of these mills is indicated in the Google Earth image; look at the black shadows in the yellow ellipses.

Being there it is worthwhile to visit Friedrichskoogspitze at 54.0303° N, 8.8380° E, 11 km WNW from DCP. Here you can climb the dyke and look over the “Holsteinisches Wattenmeer”. To the left the river Elbe flows into the North Sea. A 180° degree view shows the mud planes because it is low tide.

A small fishing harbour is situated at Rugenort, 53.9983° N, 8.8780°E, 8 km W of the DCP. Here I found people building an enormous whale, most probably a future centre for information and education.
