10-Aug-2010 -- Today I ran a local orienteering competition on the Tærudtjenna map. The race wasn't too good, but since my competitors all either made more mistakes or ran even slower, I won the course.
My map is located here.
After the race I realized that I was less than a km from this confluence, the same one I visited a couple of years ago together with a TV team from NRK, the Norwegian Public Broadcasting company, so I decided to park near the south end of the orienteering map and jog down to the point.
I didn't have my usual GPS with me, but with both a Forerunner 405 wrist watch GPS and my old Quest car gps, as well as the GPS in my cell phone, it would still be easy to document my location!
When I got close to the point I realized that we're in the middle of the farming season, and that the field which contains the point is being used for growing oats for the horses on the farm.
The closest I could get without stepping on a single plant was by following the edge of the field until I was just 15m away, so I had to settle for this result today.
