16-Jun-2012 -- Just a week after my previous successful visit of a confluence at the east of Madison, WI, I flew over to Seattle to meet my friend Andy for the weekend. He was with me on my first American confluence visit. There are four confluences around the city, but they aren't exactly close from the downtown. After the usual sightseeing, there was a bit of time left, so I chose a confluence that seemed most accessible by car and Andy started to drive to there.
After following both Andy's iPhone (running a car navigation software) and mine (tracking coordinates with Bad Elf GPS connected to my iPhone) we were able to come to a gravel-covered private road that was located just 50 meters due west of the confluence.
As noted by many of the previous visitors, the access to the actual confluence point is blocked by a gate with No Trespassing warning posted on it. Instead of risking trouble, we decided that we've come close enough and recorded the area.
Coincidentally, I was again due to take a flight to my next destination at the airport very soon and the airport was at the far opposite end of the city... just like last time. Feeling a bit of deja vu, Andy did his best to bring me to the airport. Luckily, we had barely enough time to have a quick bite. He's such a great guy.
