26-Jun-2014 -- One purpose of our visit to Yorkshire was visiting the Yorkshire moors which we had seen so many times on TV in the old "Heartbeat" series. So we visited Whitby, Goathland (where Aidensfield Arms, Scripp's Garage and Funeral Services were filmed) and approached York.
In Stockton on the Forest we parked by the roadside. A gate seemed to lead into the area, but an elderly man weeding his flowers suggested that I passed through his back garden as the owner of the gate "could be a bit fuzzy". He had no idea that he lived a few hundred meters from the confluence point.
Walking along the back of the row of houses I also woke up a couple of dogs safely behind fences. Getting closer to the confluence point I realized it was in the middle of a barley field. There were some wide tractor tracks in the field and while looking for the right ones, I scared up a brown rabbit and a deer.
I settled for 15 meters, and walked back. The owner of the two dogs was waiting for me as I passed. She was curiously wondering what I was up to. The confluence point was new to her too, but she was more interested in whether I had seen any black rabbits.
