05-Sep-2019 -- Dieses war der 7. CP (von 27) auf unserer 4-wöchigen Großbritannien-/Irlandtour. Der CP liegt auf einem Feld nahe Stockton on the forest. Unser Navi führte uns von Südwesten kommend die Hauptstraße am CP vorbei entlang. Und es sah schon nicht einfach aus – weder von den Parkmöglichkeiten her, noch war ein vernünftiger Zugang auf die Felder hinter den (gefühlt geschlossenen) Häuserfronten ersichtlich.

Ich beschloss daher, die Sache von hinten anzugehen und bog einige 100 Meter später nach links in die Barr lane „auf die Felder ab“. In ca. 500 Meter vom CP konnte ich unser Wohnmobil dann auch „mehr schlecht als recht“ in einer kleineren Haltebucht abstellen und machte mich quer über die Felder auf den Weg zum CP.

Die Felder waren nicht bestellt bzw. abgeerntet, so dass der Weg zum CP doch zügig zurückgelegt werden konnte. Dann noch ein paar Hecken und Baumgrüppchen umrundet und der CP war erreicht. Gutes Wetter und offenes Land: bei gutem GPS Empfang schnell den CP lokalisiert, die notwendigen Fotos gemacht und auf gleichem Weg zurück zum Wohnmobil. Waren doch ein paar Meter und dauerte daher gute 20 Minuten, bevor wir unsere Reise nordwärts fortsetzen konnten.

05-Sep-2019 -- This was the 7th CP (of 27) on our 4-week campingcartour accross Great Britain and Ireland and is located on a field near Stockton on the forest. We came from southwest and our navi led us along the major road – and things didn't look much inviting. No parking options and no possibility to get to the fields behind the houses – so I decided to make my way from the other side, directly through the fields.

After some 100 meters I turned left into Barr lane, left the village and parked our campingcar rather badly in a small lay-by in a distance of approx. 500 meters from the CP.

The fields were already harvested or even not cultivated so the CP-area was reached rather fast; after surrounding some hegdes and tree clusters the CP was located, the pictures taken fast. Then same way back to the campingcar; after approx. 20 minutes we left Stockton and drove northwards.
