11-Nov-2019 -- This was my second of five confluences in 24 hours in Western Nebraska. Traveling east on I-80 I got off at Exit 164 and traveled southbound on Hershey-Dickens Road for nine miles. Halfway there I crossed Power Road and the trio of massive power lines leading away from the Gerald Gentleman coal power plant to the west. At 40.9997°N I parked on a pulloff on the west side of the road with my emergency flashers on. I ducked under an unmarked barbed wire fence and within one minute was at the site, which is located on a parcel of supremely boring and currently fallow land. I took the requisite photos and was back in my warm rental car in eight minutes, making this the quickest confluence visit I’ve ever undertaken. Two southbound tractor-trailers drove by while I was at the site; otherwise I saw no people or animals.
