21-Jul-2022 -- Nachdem ich den 9. Längengrad bei Schaafheim und den 50. Breitengrad in Waldacker besucht hatte, tauchte die Frage auf, wo der Schnittpunkt der beiden Kreise liegt. Ein Blick in OpenStreeetMap klärte schnell, dass es ein Punkt nahe Zellhausen nur etwa 20 bis 50 Meter neben der Autobahn A3 sein muss. Kurz entschlossen radelte ich von Harreshausen kommend an der Schönen Eiche vorbei, durch den Wald und dann über die Brücke über die A3. Kurz dahinter führte ein Trampelpfad in den Wald, weiter hinten war er sogar bunt markiert. Der Markierung folgend gelangte ich an einen Platz im Wald, an dem der Konfluenzpunkt 50°N 9°E mit einem Stein und einer Metallplatte sehr gut gekennzeichnet ist. Sogar 4 Positionen sind gelb markiert, die eine optimale Sicht zum Fotografieren aus den 4 Himmelsrichtungen ermöglicht.

21-Jul-2022 -- After visiting the 9th degree of longitude near Schaafheim and the 50th degree of latitude in Waldacker, the question arose where the intersection of the two circles lies. A look at OpenStreetMap quickly clarified that it must be a point near Zellhausen, only about 20 to 50 meters from the A3 motorway. On the spur of the moment, coming from Harreshausen, I cycled past the Schönen Eiche, through the forest and then over the bridge over the A3. Shortly after that, a path led into the forest, further back it was even marked in bright colors. Following the marking I came to a place in the forest where the confluence point 50°N 9°E is very well marked with a stone and a metal plate. Even 4 positions are marked in yellow, which allows an optimal view for taking pictures from the 4 cardinal points.
