06-Jan-2001 -- Immediately, after I'd read the article about the
"degree confluence project" I located a point close to us and set out for it.
From Austria's capital city Vienna, it took us 70 km to the southeast. With the
help of the Garmin GPS we found the cross-over point about 100m from the street,
in the middle of a cornfield. Here in the east of Austria, you can find the most
agriculturally used area.
This cornfield in the north of Burgenland is 10 km west of the
Three-States-Boundary of Austria, Hungary and Slovakia.
