30-Dec-2001 -- This was our first visit to a confluence; a great test of the new GPS that my son Eddie (aka E3) got for Christmas. Since we had never used the GPS before, we were glad that Wes came along to show us the ropes. Logan also joined us and it was a great morning for a walk through the woods.

Just north of Hancock Center, we took Depot Road 'till we could drive no further... only had to hike ~4/10 of a mile and found the spot without too much difficulty. Didn't see the crooked tree that the previous visitor sighted, but the area had been rough-cut forested and it's been a long time between visits. Can't wait to check it out again in the Spring!
