09-Mar-2002 -- I allocated Saturday, March 9, 2002, to GPS activities and 39N 122W lay between two geodashing dashpoints we visited. We got off Interstate 5 at Arbuckle and went east to the small community of College City (one of those where if you blink you miss it). Getting to the field where the confluence lies was fairly easy. Driving to the east side on the associated dirt access roads put us within 250 yards of the dashpoint. Walking to the zero point was easy along the rows. The last visitor here found nothing planted in the field. We found a field curiously half planted with carrots...3 irrigated rows planted and the next 3 neither irrigated nor planted (see photo 2 looking south). Photo 5 shows the same carrot that was growing next to my GPSR (photo 4) that showed all zeros. Garmin’s EPE here was 13 feet (about 4 meters). Photo 1 shows the view back northwest toward College City and photo 3 shows Jack and the view looking west. Photo 6 shows the 3 emus we encountered in a pen on the corner of a very WEIRD "place" (only word I can think of to describe it) just north of College City just before arriving at the confluence.
